Computable Genomix Announces GeneIndexer Purchased by National Institutes of Health Library
MEMPHIS, Tenn.–Memphis-based Computable Genomix today announced that the National Institutes of Health Library has purchased a subscription to its premier product, GeneIndexer, an online genomics research tool.
The NIH Library purchased the GeneIndexer subscription as part of a revamping of services focused on being an information commons – a place for discovery, research assistance and learning.
“Adding GeneIndexer to its collection of bioinformatic tools makes perfect sense,” said Brad Silver, chief executive officer of Computable Genomix. “The Library, like the research it tracks, is evolving. GeneIndexer will be a great asset to the library and the researchers it serves.”
The NIH Library is an open stacks biomedical research library whose collection and services are developed to support the programs of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and selected United States Department of Health and Human Services agencies.
GeneIndexer simplifies the discovery process for researchers using high-throughput genomic data. Developed by genomic and information retrieval researchers, GeneIndexer searches more than 1 million gene-related abstracts available through the National Library of Medicine. With GeneIndexer, literature analysis is condensed from months to minutes, quickly presenting investigators with discoveries and actionable hypotheses.
