DKSH loses arbitration case

Between 2006 and 2008 the Austrian measuring instrument manufacturer, Anton Paar GmbH, terminated its sales contracts with the Swiss DKSH Group for China, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia.

Subsequently, on November 14, 2008, DKSH sued Anton Paar GmbH for damages at the International Court of Arbitration (ICC). DKSH’s demand amounted to 5.9 million CHF and was based on a claim for damages according to the Austrian Act on Commercial Agents.

In the Second and Final Award on April 17, 2012, the arbitrator overruled the claim from DKSH. It is not possible to appeal against this decision
