IntegenX Inc. Expands Global Footprint with Appointment of Middle East Distributor
Pleasanton, CA USA and Dubai, UAE —— IntegenX Inc., creator and developer of the first commercially available system for rapid DNA identification — the RapidHIT™ 200 — announced today that it has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Scientific Analytical Tools Trading, LLC (SAT), the leading provider of forensic equipment and laboratory design services to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in the Middle East. Under the terms of the agreement, SAT will lead all sales, marketing and service functions for the RapidHIT 200 Human Identification System in the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
Rapid DNA is a transformative technology that promises to fundamentally change the way DNA-based human identification is used by law enforcement and government security agencies. The RapidHIT 200 Human DNA Identification System reduces the time required for human identification by DNA analysis from days or weeks to just 90 minutes, and has already been deployed in the United States, Europe and the Middle East.
“The RapidHIT System is clearly revolutionizing the ability to rapidly and reliably generate human DNA profiles to help make our communities safer, and we are pleased to have been selected as the exclusive distributor of this ground-breaking technology in the GCC,” said Mr. Ehsan Ravari, of SAT. “We look forward to leveraging our deep understanding of this market, our technical capabilities and our strong presence across the region to accelerate the adoption of rapid DNA usage.”
“The RapidHIT System allows, for the first time, DNA analysis at the point of collection, setting a new standard in the usage of DNA profiles as an actionable biometric similar to fingerprints,” said Stevan Jovanovich, Ph.D., president and chief executive officer of IntegenX. “We have had tremendous interest from the international community, are actively working with local agencies to further expand the use of Rapid DNA and are pleased that SAT will be representing us in the GCC countries.”
