Experts in Scientific Research to Provide Insight on Future Product Development
WALTHAM, Mass. – Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. (NYSE:TMO), the world leader in serving science, today announced that it has formed a Scientific Advisory Board to formalize the two-way exchange of technological information between the company and representatives from some of the world’s premiere centers of health, science and education.

At the Scientific Advisory Board’s inaugural meeting held recently, Mr. Casper was joined by Thermo Fisher board member Tyler Jacks, Ph.D., David H. Koch Professor of Biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and director of the David H. Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research, and R&D leaders representing the company’s key growth platforms. External members of the Scientific Advisory Board, in addition to Dr. Jacks, are renowned researchers Ronald W. Davis, Stanford University, Department of Biochemistry; Steven P. Gygi, Ph.D., Harvard Medical School, Department of Cell Biology; William C. Hahn, M.D., Ph.D., Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Department of Medical Oncology and David R. Hillyard, M.D., University of Utah, Department of Pathology.
