New Promega EuroLab Focuses on New Applications and Excellence in Scientific Learning
MADISON, Wis.–Promega expands its commitment for high level service to the life science community with its new EuroLab facility in Charbonnières near Lyon, France. EuroLab, which opens June 26, serves multiple purposes:
Development of new applications – Addressing emerging scientific needs in Europe. Activities will be in direct response to customer requests and focus on methods for nucleic acid extraction, cell based assays and PCR.
Training of Promega scientific support personnel – Ensuring up-to-date knowledge of key scientific disciplines including multiplexing QPCR, proteomics and bioluminescence techniques.
Providing a Centre of Excellence in Scientific Learning – For life scientists in Europe, focusing on training in specific knowledge areas catering for beginners through to senior research scientists wishing to learn about emerging technologies.
With a state-of-the-art laboratory and seminar room, Promega will increase the level of service offered to the European scientific community. Events planned for the inaugural year include STR analysis for forensic laboratories and fundamental proteomics training.
EuroLab will complement existing Promega applications and training efforts from the US headquarters in Madison, WI which supports staff and scientists around the world.
