Celebration of a successful collaboration
Oxford Instruments’ cutting edge developmental work on Dynamic Nuclear Polarisation (DNP), working in collaboration with GE Healthcare a unit of General Electric Company (NYSE:GE), led to the launch of the HyperSense® in-vitro polariser three years ago, and today they celebrate the sale of the 27th system. Sales of the in-vivo version of HyperSense are made with the agreement of GEHC.
Oxford Instruments’ reputation as a developer of innovative technologies was further acknowledged earlier this month when it won ‘Best Technology Company’ at the UK PLC Awards, sponsored by The Financial Times, London Stock Exchange and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. The Best Technology Award is given to companies whose business growth and success is attributable to the development of technology led differentiated products and services.
Charles Holroyd (Executive Director Oxford Instruments plc) said “Our work with GEHC has been very rewarding and we are focusing our activities on the further commercialisation of DNP with HyperSense”.
Jonathan Murray (Cross Business Manager GE Healthcare) said “We have enjoyed working with Oxford Instruments to deliver this exciting and important technology to the market place. We are pleased that DNP has been welcomed by the global research community”.
