Thermo Fisher Scientific Launches New Temperature Control Modules for Universal Rheometer

Optimized handling and improved performance

DÜSSELDORF, Germany – Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., the world leader in serving science, today launched new and improved temperature control modules for its Thermo Scientific HAAKE RheoStress 6000 rheometer. During the K show, the world’s largest trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry, Thermo Fisher will showcase the new temperature control modules, including the Peltier unit for cylinders, highlighting the broad field applications of the rheometer. The K show takes place in Dusseldorf, Germany from Oct. 27 – Nov. 3, 2010, and visitors will find Thermo Fisher in booth B59 within hall 10.

The modular HAAKE RheoStress 6000 combines proven technology plus innovation found in the high-end Thermo Scientific HAAKE MARS rheometer. This enabled Thermo Fisher to provide improved specifications and optimized handling when designing new modules such as the universal Peltier temperature control module for plates, cones and cylinders. This ensures modules are easily exchangeable and are optimized for rapid temperature changes or high-constant temperature and homogeneity. The new temperature control modules feature:

Plug-and-play capability.

A wide range of accessories.

Fast change between measuring geometries such as plates, cones and cylinders.

Flexible temperature ranges: -40 °C up to 200 °C for coaxial cyclinders and -20°C up to 180 °C for plates and cones..

“Investment protection is more than just a slogan,” says Markus Schreyer, vice president and general manager of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s material characterization business. “The HAAKE RheoStress 6000 is fully compatible with existing accessories included in previous RheoStress models. And, thanks to the HAAKE MARS technology inside, as well as permanent accessory updates, our customers can benefit from the latest trends in technology development.”

Thermo Fisher Scientific, one of the pioneers in rheology, successfully supports a wide range of industries with its comprehensive Thermo Scientific material characterization solutions.
