The appointment of Juli Orihuela will Strengthen the Telstar Market in Spain and Portugal
New Sales Director appointed for the Iberian market
• Recognised as a major equipment supplier to the pharmaceutical industry in Spain, Telstar will now bring its integrated engineering, equipment and services solutions to the Iberian market
• The international group, headquartered in Spain, adopts a new strategy to approach its home market
Juli Orihuela has been appointed Sales Director of the Telstar Group for the Iberian market (Spain and Portugal) in the life sciences field. With a long track record of responsibility in the area of sales management in well-known companies connected with the life sciences field, such as Merck, Sanofi, Panreac Química, SVS and Labware, Juli Orihuela is the Telstar Group’s interface with the industries and organisations in this sector in Spain and Portugal.
Juli Orihuela’s task will be to strengthen and coordinate the Telstar Group’s relations with the life sciences market in the Iberian peninsula. Within the framework of a new sales organisation, the group is focusing through a single interface the entire portfolio of solutions that the Group is developing. These solutions can be provided individually or as an integrated package to the pharmaceutical and biotechnological industry and for the life sciences industry in general; from turnkey project engineering to the design and manufacture of process equipment and the development of validation and maintenance services.
The new approach to the group’s commercial strategy in the domestic market will enable industries located in Spain and Portugal to benefit from the proximity of one of the top 10 major international equipment suppliers to the pharmaceutical industry. The fact that the parent company is Spanish affords users the inherent advantages of their own local technical service. Other advantages stem from the opportunity to obtain complete process solutions from a single supplier which invests 3% of its turnover in research, development and innovation, and thus enjoy the support of a highly specialised technological partner, as well as access to highly competitive offerings.
With a strong presence in the international market – more than 80% of the group’s total turnover is currently generated outside the Spanish market – the new organisation will help to strengthen Telstar’s focus in the domestic market, in which it is now the leading equipment supplier to the pharmaceutical industry and the only Spanish group able to offer complete solutions to industries in the life sciences field.
