Name change better identifies the company’s core business for Lab Automation.

“Robotics and laboratory automation are what we do, and we decided our name needed to better clarify that for the market,” said Hudson Robotics founder and chief executive, Phil Farrelly. “The name Hudson Control Group reflected our move in the late 1980s into engineered control systems, but the core of our business has been and will continue to be integrated robot systems for the life sciences. We believe the name change is essential to helping those in the life sciences identify us as a provider of robotic automation and scheduling for laboratories.”

Hudson Robotics manufactures the industry’s most versatile microplate robot arm, the PlateCrane EX. Hudson Robotics, Inc.’s name change became effective June 1, 2009. Business materials and correspondence using Hudson Control Group, Inc. are still valid and will continue to be accepted. For legal purposes, both Hudson Robotics, Inc. and Hudson Control Group, Inc. are valid names. Existing orders, invoices, or quotations under the Hudson Control Group name are still valid.
