CHELMSFORD, Mass.,– Brooks Automation, Inc. (Nasdaq:BRKS) announced that it signed a definitive agreement to acquire the assets and business of Matrical, Inc. for cash consideration of approximately $10 million. Matrical is a Spokane, Washington-based, privately held company established in 2001 that provides biological sample preparation, management and storage solutions to customers in Agbio, Biotech, Life Science Tools and Pharmaceutical markets. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to be completed within the next two weeks.
