Pamela Forbes Lieberman Elected to Board of Directors of VWR International, LLC
WEST CHESTER, Pa.–VWR International, LLC, a leading global laboratory supply company, announced the election of Pamela Forbes Lieberman to VWR’s Board of Directors. Forbes Lieberman will serve on the Board’s Audit Committee. She will also serve on the Board and Audit Committee of VWR’s parent company, VWR Funding, Inc.
“I am very excited about joining the Board of VWR and I look forward to participating in the future success of the company,” said Forbes Lieberman.
Forbes Lieberman serves on the boards of directors of A. M. Castle & Co., an industrial distributor of specialty metals and plastics; Standard Motor Products, an automotive aftermarket parts manufacturer, marketer and distributor; and on the advisory board of private equity firm WHI Capital Partners.
Forbes Lieberman served as interim chief operating officer of Entertainment Resource, Inc., a distribution business in the entertainment industry, from March to August 2006. From November 2001 to November 2004, she served as president, chief executive officer and board member of True Value Company, a member-owned hardware cooperative. She also served as True Value’s chief operating officer and chief financial officer from July through November 2001, as well as chief financial officer from March through July of that same year. Prior to March 2001, she held the chief financial officer position at various companies, including Martin-Brower, a food and consumable products distributor, and Fel-Pro Inc., an automotive parts manufacturer, marketer and distributor.
Forbes Lieberman is a board member of The Chicago Network, an organization comprised of the top women in business, arts, academia, professional services, nonprofits and politics in the Chicago area. She serves as vice chair of the Board of Winning Workplaces, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help small and mid-size businesses become great places to work. Forbes Lieberman also serves on the Northwestern University Kellogg Alumni Council and on the executive committee of Lyric Opera of Chicago Guild Board of Directors. She is a member of The Economic Club of Chicago, The Executives Club and The Committee of 200.
