New Optima™ eXPert™ Ultracentrifuge Software Adds Security and Audit Trail Features
FULLERTON, Calif. (September 30, 2008) – Beckman Coulter, Inc. announces an advanced version of its eXPert software for the Optima L-XP Series Ultracentrifuges. The new Optima eXPert software delivers important capabilities for academic, biopharmaceutical and bioprocessing users in protein, virus and vaccine development. New security and audit trail features support users working with 21 CFR Part 11 guidelines for electronic run records, while three levels of password protection give system administrators tools to ensure uniform protocols.
The Optima L-XP Series preparative ultracentrifuges are widely used in proteomics, cytomics and genomics discovery research. Since 2002, these ultracentrifuges with advanced computing capabilities and the eXPert software have combined sophisticated functionality with ease of use. The newest software version adds efficiency and convenience with remote monitoring and control capabilities. Run simulations can even be performed from remote locations.
