RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Centice Corporation, a pioneer in chemical verification and identification using Raman spectroscopy and computational sensor technology, today announced that John Goehrke has joined the company as CEO. In addition to the hiring of Mr. Goehrke, Centice has negotiated with current investors to provide up to $1.5 million in bridge financing to further the company’s product manufacturing and drive additional sales and marketing programs.

In his new role as CEO, Goehrke will build on the company’s product innovation and client success and drive growth to cement its market leadership as Centice continues to emerge as a dominant force in chemical identification of narcotics, cutting agents, and controlled prescription drugs.

Goehrke brings over 25 years of sales, marketing and general management experience to Centice. Most recently, he was CEO at Nextreme Thermal Solutions, which was sold to Laird Technologies in February 2013. Other operational roles include CEO of siXis Inc., pioneers of advanced Silicon Circuit Board (SiCB) technology, and COO of Luna Innovations, where he was part of the executive management team that successfully completed an Initial Public Offering. He earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut and M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh.

Prasant Potuluri, Centice’s co-founder who served as CEO and President since 2011, will continue his role as President and as a member of the Board of Directors. He will focus on leading international expansion and business development and driving the innovation of Centice’s core technology.
