JENA/Germany — Users of the AxioVision microscope software from Carl Zeiss receive fast and easy access to the documentation of the ZVI image format which has been specially developed for microscopy. The licensing required for integration into user-specific software programs is performed online. This means that all necessary information is available without delay to AxioVision users and software developers who want to visualize and evaluate ZVI images with their own software.

The documentation is necessary to allow users to utilize ZVI for self-programming and to open ZVI images in their own programs. The ZVI format for microscope images records the image data with all relevant information on microscope and camera settings and on the document.

The complete licensing of the documentation can be performed online via the internet address www.zeiss.de/zvi. Completion and submission of the digital form concludes the license agreement online, after which the documentation is emailed to the user immediately. It is immediately usable after the user has indicated his or her consent to the license conditions.
