The partnership builds on the two companies’ long-established technical cooperation that has produced a seamless bidirectional interface between Umetrics’ on-line products such as SIMCA-Batch On-Line and SIMCA-4000 for batch and continuous processes and OSIsoft’s PI System, the standard in enterprise infrastructure, for management of real-time data and events.

Modern manufacturing strives to extract the maximum value from data collected in various systems and processes. The PI System, interfaced with Umetric’s multivariate technology, enables process monitoring, prediction and control using real-time data, resulting in improved productivity, reduced variability and optimized product. SIMCA-4000 and SIMCA-Batch On-Line have robust client/server architectures with a dedicated server that performs all calculations in real-time. The results of these calculations are sent to the client in interactional graphical outputs. The results can also be sent back to the OSIsoft PI System.
