Shimadzu to Introduce New Mass Spectrometer at the 2009 ASMS Conference
Shimadzu Scientific Instruments will host new product showcases and poster presentations, as well as a hospitality suite, seminars and a press conference as part of its exhibition plans for the 57th ASMS Conference on Mass Spectrometry (June 1-4, Philadelphia, Booth 101).
Shimadzu will introduce the AXIMA Resonance™ mass spectrometer for the structural characterization and sequencing of biomolecules. The AXIMA Resonance ensures confident, high-quality results with high mass resolution and mass accuracy across MS and MSn analyses, variable energy CID control on the fly, high-resolution precursor ion selection up to 1000 FWHM, and highly efficient trapping functionality.
Other products to be highlighted at ASMS 2009 include:
Full Series of MALDI Mass Spectrometers (Assurance, Confidence, Performance, Resonance)
LCMS-IT-TOF Mass Spectrometer
LCMS-2020 Single-quad Mass Spectrometer
CHIP-1000 Chemical Printer
Prominence HPLC Front Ends (2D HPLC, nano LC, UFLC) for Mass Spectrometry
GCMS-QP2010 Plus
GPC-MALDI
More information about new products will be introduced at a press conference on Monday, June 1 at 10 am in the Convention Center, room 108B. For additional information and interviews, visit Shimadzu’s hospitality suite Monday through Wednesday in the Marriot (1201 Market Street, Salons C-D) from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 pm.
Shimadzu will also present 42 posters in a variety of sessions, including Biomarker Discovery, Lipids: Methods/Profiling, Natural Products, and Glycoproteins, and host a lunchtime seminar from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2 at the Marriot. Topics at the seminar include “Axima Resonance — New Breakthroughs in the Tandem MALDI TOF Characterization of Biomolecules” and “Optimizing Matrix Deposition for MS Imaging using a CHIP-1000 Chemical Inkjet Printer.”
