HELSINKI, Finland–May. 16, 2009– At the 19th European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Disease (ECCMID), Bruker Daltonics announces an exclusive distribution agreement for its MALDI Biotyper with Francisco Soria Melguizo S.A. in Spain.

Francisco Soria Melguizo is one of the market leaders for clinical microbiology in Spain, providing products for microbial identification and antibiotics susceptibility testing. Bruker Daltonics is a global leader in MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry and MALDI-TOF based identification of microorganisms. The goal of the combination of Francisco Soria Melguizo´s extensive distribution network and Bruker Daltonics´ service capabilities is to provide comprehensive customer support. Francisco Soria Melguizo will distribute the MALDI Biotyper to laboratories in clinical microbiology and veterinary medicine in Spain.
