Formulaction Is Expanding In Emerging Territories
Formulaction SA. (L’Union, France), a developer of lab instruments for the study of the stability and micro-rheology of liquid dispersions, is expanding its business into BRIC territories.
Pascal Bru, Formulaction Sales Director stated: “Formulaction has grown by 10% per year since 2003. Our instruments are well recognized in the field of formulation and well established in developed territories like the USA, Europe and Japan. Emerging territories like India, China, Brazil and Russia are investing more and more resources in R&D. In the past, these territories were looking for mature and well-known instruments like particle size analyzers and surface tension equipment, but today’s R&D labs want to invest in innovative and new technologies.
We have observed a steady growth in these territories for three years. Big multinational companies have relocated regional R&D centers to these territories, and we have benefited from that. In the meantime, domestic companies also started to acquire our equipment. Formulaction is confident about increasing its double digit sales growth in the coming years thanks to the contributions of these emerging territories.”
About Formulaction SA
Formulaction was established in 1994 and quickly found success thanks to its Turbiscan dispersion stability analyzer. Turbiscan is used in many application fields, such as pharmaceuticals, electronics, food and beverage, cosmetics and petroleum. In 2006 and 2009, Formulaction launched two new instruments in the field of micro-rheology. The company’s noninvasive rheological method enables the characterization of new materials, such as hydrogels and organo gels.
