Biomatters Wins Hi-Tech Emerging Company Award

Biomatters received the honour of the Microsoft Hi-Tech Emerging Company Award at the 2012 NZ Hi-Tech Awards on Friday 11 May.

Dr. Brett Ammundsen and Quentin Christie accepted the award on behalf of Biomatters. “This award is a celebration of Biomatters’ growth trajectory. It recognizes how far the company has come and the potential for further success as we continue to expand our products and customer applications in the rapidly developing field of genomics, driven by the adoption of next-generation sequencing technologies” said Dr. Ammundsen.

This year’s international judging panel included high-profile individuals including original Facebook investor and Paypal founder Peter Thiel; the director of engineering for Google in New York, Craig Nevill-Manning; and Cisco’s senior vice president, Howard Charney.
