METTLER TOLEDO Launches New Comparator Balance Line: Intelligent Features Ensure Efficient Calibration Processes and Data Security
COLUMBUS, OH — METTLER TOLEDO’s new comparator balance line provides users with advanced, intelligent features to make calibration processes efficient and error-free. In addition, the new version of our calibration software, MC Link 2, delivers a high level of process security and assists users in meeting the highest quality assurance demands.
Comprehensive Compliance Support
Increasing compliance pressure from United States Pharmacopeia (USP) Chapter 41 and Good Manufacturing Practice, have led to a growing demand for weight calibration. Such demand is putting particular pressure on calibration laboratories to address overall equipment effectiveness, reduce lead times, and improve the quality of their measurement uncertainties. Felix Mathis, Product Manager in METTLER TOLEDO’s Metrology Group, states, “In conjunction with our customers, we have designed a new line of comparator balances and enhanced our calibration software to provide simple calibration processes, efficient workflows, and reliable, traceable results.”
Clear Measurement Guidance
Worry-free calibration processes are assured thanks to intelligent features such as the new StatusLight™. The light, built-in to the front of the comparator terminal, uses color to intuitively indicate when it is safe to start calibrating. A green status light means all tests are up to date, and the comparator is leveled and functioning correctly. Warnings are shown in yellow; with errors in red (e.g. a sensitivity test is due). The user has the security of knowing that all acquired calibration results meet pre-defined process requirements and hence also the relevant regulations.
Complete and Secure Data Management
The new comparator balances are fully compatible with METTLER TOLEDO’s innovative MC Link 2 calibration software which guarantees process efficiency and manages measurement uncertainty. Full traceability is assured thanks to flexible calibration process configuration, on-screen user guidance, automatic calculations and comprehensive data handling. Calibration certificates can be printed with just one click. All process information and calibration data is stored securely in a central database to fulfill the highest process security requirements.

Further technology advancements, such as the newly developed graphical leveling guide, simplify daily tasks and help users improve the quality of their measurement results
Mathis continues, “Supporting users to streamline their calibration processes, our new all-in-one calibration solution will enhance laboratory efficiency, reduce operational overheads, and therefore help to meet industry’s calibration demands.”
