Microfluidics Launches New, Electric, Modern, Affordable Microfluidizer™

Westwood, MA — Exclusive maker of Microfluidizer™ high shear fluid processors for uniform particle size reduction, robust cell disruption and bottom-up nano-particle creation, Microfluidics is now launching the latest in a series of new products, the LM20. Designed to expand the ways the Company is able to serve customers, the new product finds application in nano-emulsions and cell disruption.

“This offering [is] ideal for those who are developing nano-emulsions, liposomes and polymer particle formulations with the goal of sterile filtration, and customers who are performing cell disruption,” said Steve Mesite, Director of Applications at Microfluidics. “The LM20 provides outstanding performance only possible with the unrivaled Microfluidics fixed geometry technology.”

Company Vice President Brad Besse added, “The LM20 Microfluidizer is a new electrically-driven model that fits into the latest line of table-top, customer-oriented homogenizers from Microfluidics. The LM20 is a key component of Microfluidics’ ongoing portfolio update. With this new offering, we now have a comprehensive line of modern lab-scale machines that are easy to use, at an affordable price point.”

The new LM20 adds to an already extensive lineup of services and products the Company provides to its customers. From its Technology Center in Massachusetts, Microfluidics can offer scale-up experiments and perform analysis of a sample in real-time using analytical techniques such as particle-size analysis (laser diffraction or dynamic light scattering), and optical microscopy. By providing objective testing on pressure, shear rates, chamber type and number of passes, the Company’s engineers show specific areas where product quality and production efficiency can be expanded.
