Unlike BrdU assays (bromodeoxyuridine), Baseclick EdU cell proliferation assays (5-ethynyl-2’-deoxyuridine) are not based on antibodies, making DNA denaturation no longer necessary during the detection process. Eliminating multiple incubation steps produces faster results while increasing sensitivity.
