Orochem Acquires Custom Oligo Provider
This is Orochem’s second acquisition, following its 2006 purchase of Column Engineering. The company’s product line include preparative and semi-preparative chromatography columns, as well as consumables and equipment for sample preparation.
Lombard, IL 6/25/09—Orochem Technologies, a supplier of sample preparation products for life science, has acquired Oligonet, a custom oligonucleotide synthesis business based in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Financial details were not disclosed. “We saw great synergy between the Orochem and Oligonet products and this acquisition helps us offer a complete line of products to our customers,” stated Orochem Technologies President and CEO Dr. Asha Oroskar. Orochem’s product for oligonucleotide synthesis include synthesis plates and technologies for the purification of small- and large-scale oligonucleotides.
