PerkinElmer Acquires GC Partner
The companies’ joint product offerings include more than 100 standard analyzers, systems and accessories as well as custom systems, according to PerkinElmer. These products have an installed base of more than 1,200. The acquisition provides PerkinElmer with greater exposure to the energy market.
Waltham, MA 12/3/08—PerkinElmer has purchased Arnel, a provider of GC systems and software for the petrochemical, food and beverage, and industrial hygiene markets, for an undisclosed amount. Arnel has been PerkinElmer’s exclusive supplier of gas-sampling valve solutions for 18 years. In addition, the companies jointly engineer and market GC instruments and accessories that are sold by PerkinElmer. “Our acquisition of Arnel brings us greater expertise in the hydrocarbon processing industry through differentiated technology in gas chromatography,” commented Richard Begley, PhD, president of PerkinElmer Analytical Sciences.
