Product Introductions

Dionex released the SolEx SPE hydrophilic reversed-phase on-line cartridge.

Biotage AB introduced AFFINILUTE MIP (Molecular Imprinted Polymer) columns, which rely on the specific molecular structure of the analyte for targeted capture.

Biotage AB launched the ExploraSep 96-well screening plates, consisting of four different plates that deliver 128 selective resins based on MIPs. The polymers are grouped so that each plate targets a particular class of impurities.

Biotage AG released the Biotage/IST ISOLUTE QuEChERS extraction and clean-up products for pesticide residue analysis using dispersive SPE.

In August, Agilent introduced the SureSelect Human All Exon 50 Mb Target Enrichment kit for next-generation DNA sequencing. It was developed in collaboration with the Wellcome Trust Sanger and Gencode consortium. The Wellcome Trust has standardized on the SureSelect Target Enrichment system.

Agilent released the SureSelect Human All Exon v2 Target Enrichment kit, its 15th SureSelect product.

Agilent introduced the 7696 Sample Prep Workbench, which supports sample preparation for LC and GC. It will be available in November.

Agilent released the SureSelect Kinome Target Enrichment kit for next-generation sequencing studies on expressed kinases.

Life Technologies launched in August the AutoMate Express Forensic DNA Extraction System, which uses the PrepFiler LySep Column to allow labs to perform lysis and subtrate separation in a single step.

Waters introduced the Ostro Sample Preparation Plate for the removal of phospholipids from biological samples. It utilizes in-well protein precipitation.
