Radnor, PA 4/18/11—Laboratory distribution and supply company VWR International has agreed to acquire Anachemia Canada and its affiliates for an undisclosed amount. Based in Montreal, Canada, Anachemia Canada is a distributor of chemicals, laboratory supplies and equipment in the US, Canada, Latin America and Mexico as well as a worldwide exporter. “VWR’s acquisition of Anachemia strengthens our position in Canada and accelerates our expansion into South America,” commented Matt Malenfant, VWR senior vice president and president of North America, Lab Business and Services. “In addition, this acquisition will enhance VWR’s product portfolio and provide access to new customer segments like the mining industry.”
