Xylem Names New CEO
Mr. Loranger has served as interim CEO since September 2013 (see IBO 11/15/13). He instituted a new business and operational model and began a restructuring effort. On a conference call, Mr. Decker noted opportunities to expand the company’s industrial business.
Rye Brook, NY 3/3/14—Xylem, whose Test business supplies analytical and process instrumentation, has named Patrick K. Decker president and CEO. Most recently, he was president and CEO of Harsco, a global industrial services company, and previously was president of Tyco Flow Control. He succeeds Steven R. Loranger, who remains a Board member. “The Board of Directors selected Patrick because of his leadership qualities, proven track record leading large global businesses and extensive knowledge of the water industry,” commented Markos I. Tambakeras, chairman of the Board.
