CovalX named AMR a representative for Japan.

In April, Bruker Daltonics and Biodesix agreed to collaborate to support Biodesix’s VeriStrat diagnostic test, a multivariate serum protein test for personalizing therapy for patients with lung cancer, and future diagnostic tests based on MALDI-TOF MS.

Product Introductions

In April, Bruker announced new capabilities for its MALDI Biotyper: a new edition of the MBT Mycobacteria Library, so it now covers more than 130 species of mycobacteria; the Pilot accessory for light-guided manual target preparation; the Galaxy platform for automated deposition of the MALDI matrix onto the target plate; and the MALDI-Biotyper-Spectrum-Beta-Lactamase workflow.

Biotage released in May the Isolera Dalton, a fully automated miniaturized mass-directed flash purification system, featuring the Microsaic Systems’ miniature MS and the Dalton Nanolink unit sampling device.

Shimadzu released the LC/MS/MS Rapid Toxicology Screening System, which includes method parameters for 106 of the most important toxicology compounds.
