In February, JSR and ChromaCon announced a strategic partnership under which JSP will develop and provide purification media, with Amsphere Protein A as the base material, optimized for ChromaCon’s Multicolumn Countercurrent Solvent Gradient Purification process. JSR also gained a minority equity interest in ChromaCon.

Phenomenex introduced in January the 1.3 µm Kinetex core-shell UHPLC columns, bringing the number of core particle sizes in the Kinetex family to four.
In January, Protea Biosciences released the Amplus wide-pore core-shell HPLC columns, which were developed in collaboration with CromaNik Technologies.

Sigma-Aldrich Supelco announced in March the availability of its Ascentis Express 5 µm columns in seven different phases: C18, C8, Phenyl-Hexyl, HILIC, F5, ES-Cyano and OH5.
In March, Hamilton launched the PRP-C18 Reversed-Phase HPLC Column, which provides high efficiency separations in nearly any mobile phase at any pH.
