VWR Acquires Pharmaceutical Services Company
The acquisition expands VWR’s Custom Manufacturing Service offerings, adding to its assembly business. The acquisition is the latest example of VWR’s efforts to grow its higher-margin businesses, which includes services.
Radnor, PA 1/6/16—Lab and product facilities product provider VWR has acquired Therapak and Therapak Pharma Services for an undisclosed amount. Therapak provides prepackaged convenience kits and procedure packs for the clinical trials pharmaceutical, diagnostic and clinical diagnostic industries. “As a previous supplier to VWR, Therapak has proved to be a leader of procedure and kit assembly, making them a great asset to our organization,” commented Mark McLoughlin, senior vice president and president, Americas Lab and Distribution Services, at VWR.
