Igenbio released in March ERGO 2.0, an integrated platform for developing knowledge from existing and new DNA sequencing projects.

In May, Medidata completed an open-source connector linking Apple ResearchKit with the Medidata Clinical Cloud platform. Medidata released the source code for the connector on GitHub.

Genedata introduced the web-based and cloud-compatible Screen platform supporting data and result sharing with CROs.

In July, Genedata launched Selector 4.0, a genome knowledge management solution, featuring new comparative genomics functionalities.

Amplion announced in May that its BiomarkerBase database includes biomarkers for LDTs.

Dassault Systèmes introduced the first heart model from its “Living Heart Project.” It is a 3-D simulator of a four-chamber human heart for device testing, and research and treatment of heart disease.
