According to ITT, 68% of Nova Analytics’ sales are for the water and environmental markets. Germany accounts for 41% of Nova Analytics’ revenues and Asia-Pacific for 13%. White Plains, NY 2/17/10; Woburn, MA 2/2/10—ITT, a provider of transport and treatment for water, wastewater and other fluids, has agreed to acquire Nova Analytics for an undisclosed amount. Nova Analytics provides lab, field and online analytical instruments for environmental, medical, and food and beverage applications. Its brands include WTW, SI Analytics, Global Water and Aanderaa (see IBO 12/15/09). Nova Analytics has 725 employees and recorded pro forma 2009 revenues of $135 million. “This acquisition fits perfectly with ITT’s strategy to expand into categories adjacent to our core businesses and build on our global leadership positions in water, wastewater and industrial process, and products for the food and beverage market,” stated Gretchen McClain, president of ITT Fluid and Motion Control. The acquisition is expected to close in the first quarter. Earlier this month, Nova Analytics announced the acquisition of Dantec Dynamics AS. Based in Denmark, Dantec Dynamics AS designs, manufactures and sells integrated measurement systems for diagnostics and research of physical properties.
