Upcoming Product: Unveiling The Orca

We are excited to introduce the Orca , Grant Instruments’ newest addition to our temperature‑control portfolio and our first recirculating chiller to feature Grant’s new fully in‑house–designed refrigeration technology. The ORCA represents a major step forward in sustainable, energy‑efficient laboratory cooling, primarily engineered to replace tap‑water-based systems and deliver consistent, high-performance refrigeration across a broad range of applications.

Designed as a simple to use, user intuitive, closed‑loop refrigerated recirculating chiller – the ORCA provides stable and precise temperature control for workflows such as rotary evaporation, condensing columns and jacketed vessels. By removing dependence on tap water, labs benefit from dramatically reduced water consumption, lower utility spend and stable year‑round performance that’s unaffected by seasonal changes in water temperature and removes the risk of costly flooding and downtime.

At the core of ORCA is Grant’s new high‑efficiency refrigeration platform, delivering significantly improved energy saving performance compared to competitor systems. The technology automatically adjusts to varying heat loads, using only the cooling power it needs — maintaining optimised operation from 0 to 300W and uniquely capturing and reusing waste heat for temperature control. This design eliminates the need for active heating, further reducing total energy consumption and by exhausting far less heat to the room, it helps laboratories cut air‑conditioning demand.

The result is a comprehensive, very competitively priced, efficiency‑driven cooling solution built to reduce both running costs and environmental impact, while providing the reliability, precision and user‑focused design that distributors expect from Grant. The Orca gives laboratories a smarter, greener and more economical alternative to tap‑water cooling —positioning you, our distribution partners, to support customers seeking true sustainability without compromising performance.

The Orca will be available very soon, so stay tuned for updates and be ready to experience the next generation of energy-efficient laboratory cooling.
