A new automated sensor system designed to accelerate biopharma development is being launched today at the BioProcess International Europe conference in Vienna. The system, called AugaSampler™, is the latest innovation from Swedish sensor technology company ArgusEye.

Bioprocessing is used to produce many modern medicines, but monitoring these complex processes often relies on manual sampling and lengthy laboratory analysis that can take weeks. This creates a major bottleneck in development and production.

Developed in Linköping and built on research from Linköping University, AugaSampler™ is designed to address these challenges and make one of the most time-consuming steps in bioprocessing faster, simpler, and largely hands-free. It is an automatic liquid handling and data processing system with aseptic sampling, designed for on-line and at-line measurements.

By replacing manual workflows with automated measurements, AugaSampler™ delivers actionable data in under 3 minutes, dramatically reducing the time required for analysis and decision-making.

The system is the second product in the Auga® platform, expanding the capabilities of AugaOne®. Together, the systems are designed to automate and simplify monitoring in laboratories and pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.

With automated aseptic sampling and minimal manual handling, AugaSampler™ enables continuous  monitoring  while  saving  valuable  time,  resources,  and  supporting  more  sustainable operations.
