BPS Bioscience Licenses Monod Bio’s AI-Designed Proteins to Develop Novel Research Products and Services
Agreement enables BPS Bioscience to integrate Monod’s LuxSitTM Pro luciferase and NovoBodyTM binders into future discovery products and services
SEATTLE and SAN DIEGO — Monod Bio and BPS Bioscience today announced a non-exclusive licensing agreement covering Monod Bio’s LuxSit Pro de novo luciferase and NovoBody binding proteins. BPS plans to integrate the technologies into the development of innovative research products and services for drug discovery and life science applications.
LuxSit Pro is a light-generating reporter, while NovoBody proteins are next-generation antibody binders that recognize molecular targets. Both were designed using Monod Bio’s proprietary AI protein design platform. The agreement gives BPS Bioscience access to proprietary protein technologies for future research products and services. The companies expect to share details of specific offerings in a future product announcement.
“Monod’s technologies expand the possibilities for the innovative products and services we can bring to the drug discovery community,” said Henry Zhu, PhD, Chief Executive Officer of BPS Bioscience. “We’re excited to leverage these powerful protein technologies to develop next-generation solutions that support our customers’ research and development efforts.”
“We designed LuxSit Pro and NovoBody binders to become useful components of real research workflows,” said Daniel Silva Manzano, PhD, Chief Executive Officer of Monod Bio. “BPS brings deep drug discovery expertise and a broad reach across the life science community. This agreement is an important step in bringing Monod-designed proteins into a wide range of research products and applications.”
