Hudson Lab Automation opens new headquarters, ushering in next chapter of innovation
New facility expands Hudson’s space for product development and introduces a new customer demo lab

Hudson Lab Automation, a global laboratory automation solutions provider, today announced the opening of its new headquarters in New Providence, New Jersey. The expanded facility marks the next stage of growth for the company, providing additional space for its team to collaborate, develop new products, and engage with customers.
A major addition to the new headquarters is the dedicated Hudson Customer Experience Center where scientists and laboratory teams can experience Hudson’s automation technologies firsthand. The center offers customers and partners the opportunity to collaborate with Hudson experts and explore how automation can be applied to their own workflows and laboratory needs.
The new facility also provides Hudson with greater capacity to develop, test, produce, and demonstrate automation solutions as the company continues to expand its product portfolio and capabilities.
Creating more space for innovation
The move comes during a period of continued product development for Hudson. Earlier this year, the company introduced Rapid pH Plus, expanding its automated pH measurement capabilities. Hudson is also preparing for the introduction of Chimera, its newest platform for protein crystallography drop setting, later this year.
These advancements build on Hudson’s broader portfolio of laboratory automation technologies, which spans robotics, automated liquid handling, plate handling, colony picking, protein crystallography and workflow integration. Through its SoftLinx laboratory orchestration software and extensive device integration capabilities, Hudson also supports laboratories looking to connect individual instruments into more complete automated workflows.
“This new facility gives us more room not only to develop and build new technologies, but to bring customers into the process. The demo lab will allow us to collaborate with scientists and explore what automation can look like for their specific workflows.” said Werner Maas, CEO of Hudson Lab Automation.
“Every lab has different workflows, challenges and goals for automation. Our new customer experience center gives us a dedicated space to bring customers together with our applications and engineering experts for hands-on demonstrations, workshops and conversations around their specific needs. It’s an opportunity to explore what’s possible, evaluate solutions and help customers make more confident decisions about automation before bringing it into their own labs,” said Sara Mackey, Vice President of Commercial at Hudson Lab Automation.
