San Diego, CA 1/14/13—Accelrys has acquired Vialis for $5 million and the potential for additional incentive consideration of up to $5 million based on three-year growth objectives. Based in Switzerland, Vialis provides software systems integration and business process consultancy services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemicals and agro-science industries. Accelrys and Vialis are long-time partners. “With demonstrated success in improving laboratory operations by integrating core software systems critical to improving innovation—including electronic laboratory notebooks, laboratory execution systems, and laboratory information management systems—Vialis brings key domain and delivery expertise to Accelrys, and we welcome them to our team,” commented Accelrys President and CEO Max Carnecchia. All of Vialis’s employees will join Accelrys.
