Affymetrix to Distribute Luminex Systems
EBioscience is a developer and supplier of bead-based assays for use with Luminex systems, including assays formerly offered by Panomics (see IBO 11/15/08). With this agreement, Affymetrix now joins the list of distributors of Luminex systems for research applications that includes Bio-Rad Laboratories and Merck Millipore.
Santa Clara, CA and Austin, TX 10/15/15—Affymetrix’s eBioscience business unit has announced a distribution agreement for Luminex’s MAGPIX, Luminex 200 and FLEXMAP 3D platforms in the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, China, the Netherlands, Germany, France, the UK, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg and Poland. EBioscience’s ProcartaPlex multiplex immunoassays and QuantiGene Plex multiplexed quantitative gene expression assays are used on Luminex systems. “This agreement deepens our relationship with Luminex, and will provide our customers an integrated solution to access a best-in-class platform with an ever expanding, high-quality assay menu,” commented Dara Grantham Wright, senior vice president and general manager of eBioscience.
