Agilent Changes CEOs

As disclosed in January at the JP Morgan conference, the changes overseen by Mr. McMullen as COO include the consolidation of sales channels into one sales force each for regulatory diagnostics and analytical labs, and the establishment of a centralized R&D operation focused on life science and diagnostics.

Santa Clara, CA 3/18/15–Agilent Technologies has elected president and COO Mike McMullen as CEO, effective March 18, as part of a previously announced transition (see IBO 9/30/14). Former CEO William (Bill) Sullivan will serve as an advisor until October 31. “We are well positioned to capture new opportunities in our life sciences and diagnostics markets, and we have already made excellent progress in serving our customers in a more comprehensive, cohesive way through the recent launch of our Agilent CrossLab Group,” commented Mr. McMullen.
