Agilent Names COO

Mr. Nersesian, 52, joined Agilent in 1984. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Lehigh University and an MBA from New York University. Mr. Sullivan served as the company’s chief operating officer prior to being named president and CEO in 2005 (see IBO 1/31/05).

Santa Clara, CA 11/17/11—Agilent Technologies has named Ron Nersesian executive vice president and chief operating officer, effective immediately. Mr. Nersesian has been president of the company’s Electronic Measurement Group since 2009. The presidents of Agilent’s three businesses will report to him. Guy Séné, vice president of the Microwave and Communications division of Electronic Measurement, has been named the new president of Electronic Measurement. “Ron has done a superb job of leading Agilent’s electronic measurement business,” commented Agilent President and CEO Bill Sullivan. “He was responsible for a complete transformation of EMG, resulting in outstanding profitable growth in current as well as emerging markets.”
