Agilent Names New Head of Life Sciences and Diagnostics
Mr. Strohmeier has worked at Agilent for 34 years and is based in Waldbronn, Germany. He has also served as vice president and general manager of the Liquid Phase Analysis Division. Mr. Holmkvist, who was the CEO of Dako when Agilent acquired it (see IBO 5/31/12), resigned on December 12, according to an SEC filing.
Santa Clara, CA 12/17/13—Agilent Technologies has named Fred Strohmeier senior vice president, Agilent, and president of the Life Sciences and Diagnostics Group (LDG). He replaces Lars Holmkvist who left the company for personal reasons. Most recently, Mr. Strohmeier served as vice president and general manager of Life Science Products and Solutions. “He is a highly respected leader with a wealth of deep experience and expertise in life sciences products and solutions—the foundation for LDG,” commented Agilent President and CEO William Sullivan. “Fred was an integral part of the formation of the new LDG, and I look forward to his leadership of the group.”
