Nottingham, UK 7/8/16—Scientific Laboratory Supplies (SLS), a UK-based distributor of lab supplies, has purchased Analab, a Northern Ireland–based lab product distributor. SLS Chairman Peter Chapman said in a statement that SLS is already well-established in the country, but it will now concentrate on increasing sales to the pharmaceutical and medical technology markets. Damien McCorry, Analab founding director, remains managing director. Mr. McCorry stated that Analab expects to double sales within a year.

Joining Analab following the purchase will be a new marketing and portfolio director, and new sales director. SLS announced a focus on new investments following its merger earlier this month with France’s Dominique Dutscher (see IBO 7/15/16).
