Andor Fields an Additional Offer
According to news reports, Carraig Capital’s investors include Dr. Hugh Cormican, a founder of Andor and a former Board member, who is now CEO of Bioptics, a maker of X-ray CMOS sensors.
London, England 9/1/08—Andor Technology has received a counter offer to acquire the company from investment group Carraig Capital, which is offering 76 pence per share ($0.0138), or an estimated £22.7 million ($41.3 million), compared to an offer of 73 pence per share ($0.0133) from Thorndale (see IBO 8/15/08). In response, Andor withdrew its recommendation for the Thorndale offer.
