Fluxion Biosciences appointed AutoMate Scientific as a distributor of its BioFlux System. Amaxa and Promega will develop applications based on their respective Nucleofector technology and luciferase reporter assay technologies to monitor cell signaling events in cells that are difficult to transfect. Roche Applied Sciences will exclusively market systems for real-time cell analysis based on ACEA Biosciences’ impedance-based technology, which utilizes microplate-based biosensor arrays. Nikon will distribute SVision’s SVCell microscopy image analysis software with its BioStation CT cell culture observation and monitoring system. Thermo Fisher Scientific launched the Thermo Scientific Stem Cell Excellence program, an initiative featuring a web portal and nearly 100 lab products and services. GE Healthcare entered into a strategic partnership with Process Analysis and Automation to offer automated solutions for the IN Cell Analyzer and LEADseeker. Under a strategic supplier agreement with MatriCal, GE Healthcare will offer 96- and 384-well, flat glass bottom microwell plates. IonGate Biosciences GmbH opened its first foreign subsidiary in New York in December 2007. IonGate Biosciences GmbH raised €4.6 million ($6.3 million) from Heidelberg Innovation and KfW in a third round of funding.
