Product Introductions

Xylem’s YSI brand introduced several new instrument lines, including the MultiLab IDS 4010 series of single- and multiparameter optical instruments and sensors for biochemical oxygen demand (BOD)-5 , pH, oxidation reduction potential (ORP) and conductivity measurements; a line of single- and multiparameter lab/field colorimeters and reagents; and the pH1200 pH and temperature lab instrument.

Skalar launched an automated BOD analyzer, featuring modular sample handling, with up to eight sample trays and a choice of automation modules.

Tintometer introduced the handheld SD 300 pH meter for the measurement of pH, redox potential and temperature.

Mettler-Toledo released in July the Measurement Uncertainty Pac (MuPac) software-based service for titration customers, offering a detailed calculation of a titration method’s result uncertainty.

In September, Hanna Instruments launched the edge lab meter for measuring pH, conductivity and dissolved oxygen. It is half-an-inch thick and weighs 9 oz.

Kinck introduced the Portavo Series of portable meters for use with analog or MemoSens sensors for measuring pH, ORP, conductivity or oxygen.
