Revised attendance figures released by Pittcon in early April indicated that total 2011 attendance increased 1.9% to 17,199. This figure compares to the 1.3% increase reported in IBO last month (see IBO 3/31/11).

The number of attendees, excluding exhibitors, media and undergraduate students, was down a marginal 0.3% to 9,599 to make up 56% of total attendees. The number of “full conferees,” a figure that excludes corporate guests, one-day visitors, all students, media and exhibitors, fell 2.9% to 5,868. This is the fifth straight year that the number of “full conferees” has decreased.
