IDEX Business Sold to Cole-Parmer

This is Cole-Parmer’s first acquisition under private equity ownership (see IBO 7/31/14). The pumps feature variable flow and bidirectional capabilities for each channel, according to Cole-Parmer, as well as computer compatibility.

Lake Forest, IL 8/3/15; Vernon Hills, IL 8/18/15—IDEX Health and Science, part of fluid and metering technologies firm IDEX, has sold its Ismatic product line to lab product company Cole-Parmer for $28 million. Part of IDEX’s Scientific Fluidics Platform, the Ismatic business recorded 2014 revenues of $13 million. The independent channel control peristaltic pumps are used for dissolution testing, chromatography, reagent addition to a reactor and other R&D applications.
