Illumina Signs PCR Reagent Distributor
Illumina introduced its real-time PCR reagents portfolio outside the US this summer. The reagents are designed to be compatible with all real-time PCR platforms and are based on the company’s NuPCR probe-based chemistry for gene expression analysis.
San Diego, CA 11/12/12—Illumina announced that VWR International will distribute its qPCR portfolio, including the Eco Real-Time PCR System and the NuPCR reagents, in the US. “We are very excited to join forces with VWR to accelerate adoption of our qPCR portfolio, particularly into the pharmaceutical and industrial markets where VWR has a strong presence,” stated Mark Lewis, senior vice president and general manager of Illumina’s Molecular Biology and PCR Business. Orders will be accepted starting December 1.
