Accelrys’ 2012 revenues grew 12.6% to $162.5 million. Adjusted operating profit fell 47.2% to $2.0 million. License and subscription, maintenance on perpetual license, and professional services and other revenues grew 12.6%, 9.7% and 68.9% to make up 55%, 24% and 14% of sales, respectively. However, content revenue fell 25.6% due to the phaseout of certain product lines. US, European and Asia-Pacific sales grew 17.5%, 8.7% and 7.7% to make up 49%, 28% and 23% of revenues, respectively.
In March, Accelrys formed a strategic partnership with US Data Management, a life science global regulatory compliance and risk management firm.

Product Introductions
Certara introduced D360 7.0, an integrated data query, analysis and visualization solution, featuring all-entity detail reports and web-service access.
In April, Genedata released Screener 11, a single-platform screening data analysis system with built-in business logic for standardizing and automating screening workflows. It now supports compound combination screens.
Accelrys launched in April its Externalized Collaboration Suite, a solution designed to address the needs of life sciences organizations engaged in externalized network research. Its consists of Accelrys HEOS, Contur ELN and Accelrys Enterprise Platform.
STARLIMS announced that version 11 of its LIMS will be available in June and features new mobile-device applications, advanced analytics and HTML5 compatibility.
BioDiscovery released Nexus Copy Number 7 for analysis of structural variation from CGH and SNP arrays and next-generation sequencing. New capabilities include support for small sequence variations.
