In October, TIBCO Software expanded its relationship with PerkinElmer for Spotfire software to include the clinical research and development market. PerkinElmer became the exclusive TIBCO channel for TIBCO Spotfire in clinical research and development applications.

Product Introductions

Ocimum Biosolutions released in August its Facility Tracker cloud-based software for core-facility management.

Ceiba Solutions introduced the free Community Edition of its Helium Data Workbench. The firm’s newest collaborative partner for the Edition is the Open PHACTS consortium.

Certara released in August Simcyp Simulator 13. It permits the quantitative prediction of drug-drug-interactions and pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic outcomes in virtual populations and features new models for biologics.

In September, ACD/Labs introduced the ACD/ChemAnalytical Workbook, a new software application for the ACD/Spectrus platform. It provides a homogeneous environment for processing and interpreting multi-technique analytical data.

SeaChange Pharmaceutical launched the SEAware software that allows analysis and visualization tools for prediction of drug and other small molecule activity and toxicity against biological targets.

Accelrys launched in September Accelrys Insight and Accelrys Insight for Excel, completing the roll-out of its next generation cheminformatics suite.

Metaome Science Informatics introduced DistilBio Enterprise, which integrates data from instruments, internal knowledge bases and external data sources, and utilizes graph-based search technology.

ChemAxon released JChem for Office, a unified series of chemistry functionality available directly within the Microsoft Office suite.
